Never let it be said that animeland didn't have a flair for the dramatic. We've had to move our dates due to scheduling hiccups...and now we're changing our venue.

Animeland Makiba will now be at Fiesta Henderson, easily located at Highway 95 and W. Lake Mead Pkwy in Henderson.

Animeland was founded in 2007 by a group of friends that wanted a more interactive anime experience. All the anime conventions they'd been to were a great deal of fun and pretty educational, but there wasn't enough hands on...and so Animeland was born!

The goal of Animeland is to bring the culture of anime and Asian culture to the masses in a way that they can put their hands on it. Not just sit in a room and watch it happen around them. We've placed Animeland in five cities in the country so far, and plan to grow in more places in the coming months and years.

We felt there were too many factions, too much politics, not enough fun. It's not about bringing the biggest guests or having the largest show. It's about bringing guests that want to interact with their fans. It's about an environment where if you're new to anime or conventions in general you'll be comfortable and able to enjoy what we have to offer. It's about being a convention veteran and remembering how much you enjoyed the closeness of an otaku family. Have a panel you'd like to see run? Tell us!
